Piero Tartaglia |
Piero Tartaglia was born the 5th of October 1933, in Civitavecchia, near Rome. In 1951, he approached the avant-garde current «The European Group» of Serge Poliakoff, with Karel Appel, Santomaso, Albert Bitram, Lucembert, Pierre Alechinske, Corneille.Attracted to the abstract and informal tendencies, matured a pictorical search through the territories that are not placed in horizontal, but they develop in vertical apparitions, following a law of gravity where it isn't necessary to test statics of the masses and the volumes, but,at the most, to take advantage of the ability of association and eclectism

My passion is to create and share my Art with others. I want to provoke a connection with the viewer to explore the canvas. I feel a large format can over power the viewer to explore the subtle intimate movements that I create by line, color, shape and form. The style in which I paint in is surrealistic cubism. Dream like atmosphere or quality mixed with fractional elements of line, colour, shape and form. By using this style I am able to create symbolic attributes and metaphors.

Toulemonde |
I was born in Lille (north of France) on the 31st of December 1950 As I love Brittany and the Bretons, Jean-Louis and I went to live in the Finistère. My passion for earth and fire led me to study the practice of turning, modelling and enamelling of stoneware and china. In 1981, I become ceramist in the harbour town of Pont-Aven. These years of working with clay taught me the dexterity necessary to a free creation. My style was asserting itself and my work was shown in numerous exhibitions in the district. At the same time, together with my husband Jean-Louis, we created monumental sculptures in polyester, bronze and cement, the last of which now is displayed in Tegucigalpa, capital city of Honduras.

Eva Trinczek |
Eva Trinczek was born in Poland and grew up in Germany. She immigrated to Canada more than 20 years ago. Eva spent the first six years in Oakville ON where she met her husband. They moved to Vancouver Island in 1990 with their 3 children and have been living in the Cowichan Valley ever since. Eva, mostly self-taught, has always had a natural love for art and artisan products. Much of her creativity was inspired growing up in a modest home where many things were hand crafted. In 2003 after raising and home schooling her 3 children, Eva decided to actively produce and market her art. Starting with small watercolour paintings she soon experimented with larger canvases and with different mediums, including pastels and acrylics. For Eva inspiration is everywhere, most of all in nature. Eva's paintings, art cards and jewellery can be found at Imagine That Artisans' Designs in Duncan, BC, and at Oakleaf Gallery in Chemainus, BC. Jacquelyn Trone |
Jackie began her pursuits when she started the restoration of her 1740 farmstead- Colonial Yard- near Valley Forge, Pennsylvania in 1968. While researching the restoration process at Valley Forge National Park, she learned how to do many of the renovations herself. And since 18th century artwork and accessories were not readily available or affordable, she learned to produce many of the art forms from Fraktur to Schrienschitte and Brides' Boxes to Dolls. Her work was quickly recognized and requests were made to purchase her work. Hence her career as a traditional artist began.
