Sculpting in stone directly links me to the people of the past. In my case the subject and ideas that I choose are derived from the past thus strengthening that link. The resolutions of the technical problems are the same that sculptors in the past confronted and solved. Although modern tools and implements facilitate my work I am still doing what all sculptors and stone carvers have done in the past; chipping, abrading and polishing the stone to release the form contained therein.

In my own words, in my work i strive to bring to life on Canvas and through Art all of the fringe dwellers and society's outcasts. All of us who do not fit the accepted definition of «Normality", whatever that may be. I use myself both in Artistic image and as a conduit to express life with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Anxiety/Panic problems and more. I am aiming to reach a large audience in the hope a small Artistic voice will speak to everyone from within my canvases and help understanding and inclusion rather than exclusion be that which we can all share as people.

Some people describe life as a stage production and we are theatre actors. Shakespeare, for example, said, «All the world's a stage and all the men and women merely players.» I would like to describe my life as an Art. As a Martial Arts instructor, who want to create the Art using mixed media. However, pens, pencils, and brushes---these are not the only tools I use to create Art. I also use my body. My artwork is spontaneous. I never have a plan for the things I create

Stephen Lucas |
It has been one of my greatest pleasures in life, to learn that sometimes, what a person experiences when viewing my art is so deep, that the place they discover within themselves is something they have longed to find, and my painting was the key to helping them unlock it. I hope that is what people recognize and what they appreciate about my art.

Tage Lundin |

Lutz |
I was born in Germany and
grew up in upstate New York. I studied art at Syracuse University and
graduated with a BFA degree. For me as an artist, depiction is not important. I am more concerned with transitions. How one color form changes into the next, whether it is gradual or abrupt. Color intervals that create tensions or voids. Drawing that can emphasize and organize areas in the painting. |
