Max Kauffman
|
Max Kauffman's work focuses on the theme of narration - each piece strives to tell a story. His precise detailing and creative use of color distinguishes him amongst contemporary artists. His work is primarily done in watercolor and ceramics. In both mediums, he builds up a form or idea through layering. His ideas are reminiscent of nature's most basic pattering; rings on a tree, the movement of roots, a river spreading, lightning, etc. Certain areas of concentrated detail are emphasized, like guidelines or points on a map, helping to lead one's eye around the piece. Kauffman goes for an "off" look, purposely attempting to distort reality. To capture reality is boring; he would rather mess with it a little.

F.M. Kearney |
Much of my work in photography stems from my desire to show things in very colorful and unusual ways. I specialize in unique floral photographs, created by the compilation of several different in-camera techniques. No digital, special effects are ever used. I've been published in magazines such as «Florist» and «Birds & Blooms,» and have won numerous awards. My work has been exhibited in galleries in New York and Montreal. Presently, hundreds of my images are being represented by photo agencies all over the world.

KEJ |
KEJ is a Parisian artist, who regularly exhibits in Paris and all over Europe. Born in 1959, he belongs to that young generation of caustic avant-garde artists. At anyone time a painter, a graffiti artist, a mail-artist, or a performance artist, he questions the audience with his pictures free from all pictorial good manner. By mixing ancient techniques, like tempera, with more modern ones, like acrylic painting, he questions what painting can be today. His works can be read like an interaction between the urban graphic body movements, used like a language, and the inner personal redefinition of his own primitivity.
Benedicte
Keller |
Benedicte Keller, born 1958
in Copenhagen, Denmark Now I am living with my family by the blue inlet of Holbæk. I photograph and paint with acryl. In some of my works my artistic mission is to create images, which reveal the unseen but attentive fragments of dreams and memories. In other paintings I reproduce my personal items in stilleben – often with a humoristic twist. Since 1998 I have had several exhibitions in Denmark every year. Since 2004 have I been in 8 national and international juried exhibitions. In 2005 I got an honorable award in the international juried exhibition ”REAL-TIME” and have made a work of art for UNICEF. |

Rob Keller |
I was born and raised in Hilversum, the media town of the Netherlands. So it was a natural choice for me that I wanted to become a pop singer. Together with my twin brother Hans, I pursued this dream and we succeeded. For many years we were well known faces and voices on television and radio, at home and abroad. I'd gone to school to become a graphic designer and had worked as an illustrator, before singing took over my professional life. So I started to take art classes, whenever I had some spare time between performances, to develop my skills as a painter. I paint also on commission, mainly in acrylic on canvas. I've done a lot of large format, realistic and abstract ones.

I am a clay artist. Clay offers me challenges and rewards like no other media. It is a three-dimension art form that offers infinite creativity. The possible combinations of clays, glazes, forms, and finishes, are unbounded. It can be visual art or functional art. Add to that the challenge of producing a fragile truly unique work with so many variables clay body, glaze composition, firing temperature. It is a perfect mixture of science and art.

When looking at my work the viewer shoulder consider them as configurations of spiritual geography. In this manner I refer to them as, "Interior/Exterior Landscapes. The primary blue shape will refer to geological forms found in the geographical landscape. As such they mark and delineate borders much like a rock cairn would. This marking indicates a place of spiritual solace and a point of reflection. My intention is to explore the subconscious symbols of an "interior" spiritual reality when consecrated by the borders of "external" physical reality. The use of classical Greek subtitles provides a context for the imagery to rest in.

Evelyn Kligerman |
When I think of myself, I think of clay. Ever since I can remember I have this humid and alive substance between my fingers. Columns, vertebrae, animals, symbols and signs lead me to the origin of the earth, to the mystery of life. I challenge this matter earth, I want from it what it does not have: I want air, I want levitation; to expel gravity from matter. In search of the infinitive.

Susan Knaap
|
New Zealand painter, Susan Knaap, paints lush, multi-layered abstracts and impressionist works that evoke a deep sense of mystery and contemplation. Her working style is both planned and intuitive - she starts with an idea in mind but allows the process of painting itself to dictate its direction. In 1004, Susan was a finalist in the International Juried Online Symbolist Art Show and is one of only three New Zealand artists participating in the 1004 Florence Biennale (Italy). Susan's artworks are in private collections both within New Zealand and around the world.

He has had close contact with art including music, films, drawing, graphic and sculpture. He has made oil paintings since 1998. He had not got a teacher, but he learnt from everyone whose pictures have an influence on him. At first he made mainly "fantasy" and "science-fiction" style paintings, and nowadays he turn around to the surrealism. On his pictures the niggling realistic effects are appear. Of course he often paints pictures with theme of nature, nude or portrait, but they are made for order for the most part.
Janice

My name is Janice Kollov, and I have been making pottery for more than 10 years. My pieces are organic and sculptural. I work mainly with a grogged, white clay, as I adore the rock-like surfaces it can produce. Some pots are from pre-conceived ideas, but the majority just 'build themselves' as I go along. Occasionally I like to make a face mask by way of a change, but whatever I make I am never happier than when my hands are in clay.

Koshan |
My works are allegories of our world and human relations. However, I do not work with an aim of delivering a message. In fact things in me need to be expressed and I can never determine that in advance. Sometimes I let my hand be guided, sometimes I draw in my head before taking the felt. It is only after I am brought to reflect on the direction of each drawing. I love the strange beings, pretence to come from another world. My characters often have a kind of deformity which is always accompanied by a search for harmony.

1975, Svetla nad Sazavou, Czech Republic. I graduated from a prestigious fashion design school in Brno, Czech Republic, majoring in Textile and Knitwear; this is where I developed my skill of drawing and painting. After graduating, I spent several months in England and the USA. My first oil painting was in 1999 as a Christmas gift for my lifelong partner. In 2003 Iorganized the first solo exhibition. All pictures are characterized by strong colour and bold strokes on a black background playing with light and shadow. A palette knife is used in the creation of these paintings. Since that first painting in 1999, I believe I’ve developed my own style. The light is the most important part of the painting. It can give the right sparkle or completely destroy it. I try to capture the right balance of light and shadow to add depth. I love classic paintings, especially from the Impressionist period and like many artists. My pictures draw on personal experiences that are a reflection of the visible – landscapes, cityscapes and transport. I’ve held several successful exhibitions in the Czech Republic. The picture Posázavský Pacifik was selected and exhibited at Royal Academy of Art Summer Exhibition in London 2008. My paintings are held in private collections in the Czech Republic, UK, USA, Belgium, France, Sweden, Canada and Slovak Republic. I was also interviewed on Czech Television CT1 Dobre Rano and in popular talk-show Vsechnoparty. If you would like to send me any opinion about my pictures or any question, please do not hesitate to contact me. |

My work is experimental in
the use of different materials. I like to play with textures and often use
natural pigments as paint. Most of the time the materials I use determine
the outcome. The end result is always surprising. but that is what I love the endless journey and a different destination. |
